The Kentucky Coffee Trail™ was brewed from a simple idea: that a great cup of coffee can bring
people together, strengthen communities, and spark pride in the places we call home.
Created by Kangaroo Ridge Farms in Vanceburg, Kentucky, the Trail connects travelers with
independent coffee shops across all nine of the Commonwealth’s official tourism regions ...
from bustling city cafés to small-town roasters tucked between hills and rivers.
Our Story:
It started with one small-town coffee shop and a big dream.
In 2024, the team behind Kangaroo Ridge Farms opened a community coffeehouse in rural
Eastern Kentucky, not just to serve lattes, but to breathe new life into their main street.
What began as a local gathering spot
Soon became a movement
Centered around connection, storytelling, and revitalization.
As travelers began to visit from across the state, one thing became clear: Kentucky needed a way
to celebrate all of its independent coffee shops — from Paducah to Pikeville —
and the people pouring their hearts into every cup.
The Kentucky Coffee Trail™ was born from that vision: to unite small businesses, spotlight local
craftsmanship, and create a new way to experience the Commonwealth ...one coffee at a time.
